
How to do the pasta thang
1 - Boil
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and season generously with salt.
2 - Get Saucy with it
Heat up sauce in a large saucepan over medium/ medium high heat**
**For Pistachio Pesto Sauce- Do not heat up sauce.
3 - Cook
Once water is boiling’, add pasta and cook until “al dente” (still has some firm, chewiness to it) about 3 minutes
-- For Pasta using Pistachio Pesto sauce, cook 1-2 minutes longer--
4 - Combine
Once pasta is al dente and sauce is heated up to a gentle simmer, remove pasta from boiling water using tongs (parpadelle), or a slotted spoon (gnocchi, ravioli, orecchiette), and place directly into the simmering sauce in the saucepan. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta and sauce marry (about 2-3 minutes).
*for Pistachio Pesto sauce simply cook pasta all the way through (4-5 minutes), strain, and add to a bowl with the Pesto and mix thoroughly.
5 - Plate it up
Transfer to a plate and top with cheese and/or other supplied toppings, and enjoy!
